Young Artists Day Camp
Dates: Week of June 14-18; June 21-25; June 28-July 2; July 5-9; July 12-16; July 19-23; July 26-30
Ages: 5-12
Hours: Monday through Friday 10:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $325 per week
Students enjoy a ballet-based exploration of the world of dance, drawing from a variety of international cultures and illustrious folk traditions. All classes are professionally choreographed, exposing dance theatre traditions shared from generation to generation. Lessons are designed to improve technical skills, coordination, and concentration, cultivate artistry and an appreciation of music. Instruction also covers health and nutrition, make-up and hair for stage; video critique and dance theatre history. Students also participate in imaginative arts and crafts projects related to dance and field trips within the Presidio. It's very fun and highly educational, too!!
Young Artists Sample Schedule:
10:00-10:30am Conditioning & Ballet Barre
10:30-11:45am Ballet Technique
12:00-1:00pm Supervised Lunch Break
1:00-2:00pm Rotating Classes
2:00-2:30pm Performance Lessons
2:30-4:00pm Folk/Character
*Breaks will be given throughout the day.
