*Pre-Ballet/Ballet (4-6 y/o): PDT offers a sequential ballet program based on our syllabus for young children. Each semester, students master technical components which lead to precision, artistic expression and excellence. These goals are accomplished in a very fun and educational format and students who develop a passion for dance and wish to further their education may apply to PDT's elite Youth Company, which requires a higher level of commitment and dedication to our program.
*Dance Combo (6-8 y/o): PDT offers this class to give an exposure of dance, music,singing, and theatre to small children. Each week the instructor willintroduce a new theme which will inspire the class to participate in activitiesin relation to the theme. This highly educational class will alsoincorporate cultural training and history of the arts. A great class forbeginners to start a rich arts education.
*Les Petites Artistes: Young Degas (5-8 y/o): Young Degas offers students, 5- 8 years old, education in fine arts, crafts and sculpture projects inspired by the masters. Students will learn about fundamental artists throughout history and be introduced to their artistic style and practices. Students also get to take home completed works of art on a regular basis.
*Fencing for the Stage (all ages): Our world-class instructor Yves Ghiai-Chamlou offers boys and girls (parents, too) a class on fencing for dance and theatre choreography. This is a beginning class. Students may attend the first class and"try it out" then parents will need to invest in ordering specialized fencing equipment ($150).
Musical Theatre (5-7 y/o): Musical Theatre offers an exposure of dance, music, singing, and acting for theatre to small children. Each week the instructor will introduce a new theme which will inspire the class to participate in activities in relation to the theme. This is a great class for beginners to start a well-rounded, varied and rich performing arts education.
